1. GENERAL INFORMATION

This Shipping Policy explains how we process and deliver orders placed through our online store: https://madeinthemess.co.uk.
All orders are processed and shipped from our fulfilment location in the United Kingdom.
We currently offer shipping within the UK only.
2. PROCESSING TIMES

Orders are typically processed within 2–4 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).

You will receive an email confirmation with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

During busy periods (such as holidays, new launches, or sale events), processing times may take slightly longer.
3. DELIVERY TIMES & COSTS

Delivery times are estimates only and begin from the date of dispatch, not the order date.
4. DELIVERY ISSUES & LOST PARCELS
If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe:

Please first check your tracking information (included in your dispatch confirmation email).

If tracking shows no recent updates, contact us at el@madeinthemess.co.uk.
We will investigate the issue with the courier and provide assistance.
Please note: once a parcel is marked as “Delivered” by the courier, we are not liable for loss or theft after delivery unless there is evidence of a delivery error.
5. INCORRECT OR INCOMPLETE ADDRESSES
Please ensure your delivery address is entered correctly at checkout.
We cannot be held responsible for orders that are lost or delayed due to incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the customer.
6. FAILED DELIVERY ATTEMPTS & RETURNS TO SENDER
If a delivery attempt fails and the parcel is returned to us (e.g. due to non-collection or an incorrect address), we will contact you to arrange redelivery.
You may be responsible for any additional postage costs for resending the order.
7. SPLIT SHIPMENTS
If your order contains multiple items, we may ship them separately depending on stock availability. You will not be charged additional postage in such cases.
8. DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS
If your parcel arrives damaged or with missing items, please email el@madeinthemess.co.uk within 7 days of receipt.
Include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos of the packaging and item(s).
We’ll resolve the issue promptly in accordance with your consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
